Summer Day Program

An eight-week summer program for children ages 5 – 21 with developmental disabilities. The activities blend a combination of academic and recreational instruction to provide children with a fun education summer experience. The activities include swimming, field trips, horse back riding, art and crafts, self-help development, and daily living instruction centered around each child’s identified developmental and educational needs.

This program provides the academic supports needed for each child to maintain and gain academic, social and recreational skills during the summer time. This is the only licensed summer day camp program in Rowan County for children with developmental disabilities.

Important dates for the 2008 Summer Day are as follows:

Monday June 23, 2008: Summer Day Camp starts.

Thursday August 7, 2008: Summer Day Camp ends.
